ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਸੀ, ਆਖ਼ਰ ਹੋ ਹੀ ਗਿਆ। ਗੈਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਟਿਆਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ “ਵੀਰ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਵਸ” ਦਾ ਨਾਂਅ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸੱਚ ਧਰਮ ਖਾਤਰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਬੂਲੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ। ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ, ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ! ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਪੰਥਕ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਬਾਬਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਛੇੜ-ਛਾੜ ਕਰਣ ਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੈਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਸਿੱਖ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਣਗੇ।
Shaheedi is bearing witness to truth,sacrificing the body for freedom of the spirit. Certainly not a child’s play. Declaring Shaheedi Diwas of younger Sahibzade as “Veer Bal Diwas” is reductionist in nature. Panthak idiom is “Baba”, grandfather. No non Sikh has any right to reinterpret Sikh idiom. If PM is seeking inspiration for the kids from the Shaheedi of Chotte Sahibzade, their story can be introduced in school text books.

ਸਾਡੇ ਚੇਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀਆਂ ‘ਸਾਕਾ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ’ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਉਕਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਜੋੜ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ। ਅਫਸੋਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਖ਼ੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਛੱਡਕੇ ਮਰਣਾ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਵੋ।

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋਵੋ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਨਾ ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ‘ਬਾਲ ਵੀਰ ਦਿਵਸ’ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਰਵਾਇਤ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
‘Veer Baal Diwas’ will be on the same day Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji attained martyrdom after being sealed alive in a wall. These two greats preferred death instead of deviating from the noble principles of Dharma.

ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਪੋਹ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਚੇਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਸਾਕਾ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਨਾ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ।ਨਾ ਸਕੂਲ,ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਮਾਇਨੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
